Wonderlust: dream laundry room

Ok, so this post is a little odd in that I don't normally think about laundry rooms, but lately, I have been hating my laundry room thats right off my kitchen. I have to walk thru my laundry room to get to my garage. Its small, crowded, dark and no storage space or shelves. WHY?! Most 'laundry' is from clothes, not stuff found in the kitchen or living room. I know a couple that just built their dream house and they put the laundry room...you guessed it, right off the kitchen. If it is a two level house, it makes even less sense. I say this ALOT but "when I build my dream house", the laundry room ain't gunna be anywhere near the kitchen.

I do alot of crafting, sewing, drawing, and laundry and personally think it would so efficient if I could just have a huge room that housed all of these things. I am also a little ADD so it would be nice to have everything together that way when I get sick of doing one thing I can quickly move on to the next, in the same room!!
